Experienced Landscape Gardeners Wanted – Mine Site Re-vegetation

We are currently seeking highly motivated and experienced Landscape Gardeners to join our team for large-scale re-vegetation projects on mine sites. If you aren't afraid of hard work, long hours, and working away from home, we want to hear from you.

The Role

In this role, you will be on the front lines of environmental recovery, transforming former mining areas through dedicated re-vegetation works. This is a physically demanding but highly rewarding role that requires operating heavy-duty landscaping equipment and working comfortably in a remote camp environment.

Working Hours: Expect to work solid 10 to 12-hour days. Location: Working away from home on remote mine sites (camp accommodation and all meals are fully supplied).

What You Will Be Doing

• Executing large-scale re-vegetation and rehabilitation works on active or former mine sites.
• Safely operating and maintaining ride-on mowers and a variety of associated landscaping and gardening machinery.
• Conducting weed and pest control using agricultural chemicals.
• Working collaboratively with a team in remote locations, adhering to strict site safety and environmental guidelines.

What You Need to Succeed (Essential)

• Proven Experience: Solid background in landscape gardening, grounds maintenance, or a similar field.
• Machinery Skills: Confident and experienced in operating ride-on mowers and associated gardening machinery/equipment.
• ACDC Ticket: Preference - hold a current Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) ticket.
• Work Ethic: Physical fitness and the ability to consistently work 10 to 12-hour shifts.
• Willingness to Travel: Must be comfortable working away from home for the duration of your roster.

Highly Desirable (Stand Out from the Crowd)

• Current Coal Board Medical (Section 4).
• Current Standard 11 (S11) Generic Mining Induction. (Note: Candidates possessing these qualifications will be highly regarded and are encouraged to apply immediately.)
